Panch Kedar
Panch kedar refers to five hindu temples dedicated ot god Shiva. They are located in Uttarakhand, The five temples designated in the strict pecking order to be followed for pilgrimage for worship.
Tungnath
This is the one of the highest Shiva temples in the world & highest of panch kedar. The temple is believed to be 5000 years old. The 5 Km trek starts from chopta. Of all the Panch Kedar trek routes, the route to Tungnath is the shortest: only 5 km.
Rudranath
This natural rock temple is situated in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand. It is said that this important Hindu shrine was built in 8th Century AD and is said to shelter the face of Lord Shiva. Most trekking routes to Rudranath are from Gopeshwar or nearby places. A motor able road is present up to the village Sagar 5 km from Gopeshwar, beyond which a 20 km trek has to be undergone to reach Rudranath.
Kedarnath
This temple is situated near the mandakini river. The name "Kedarnath" means "the lord of the field". Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April (Akshaya Tritriya) and November.
Kalpeshwar
This temple is situated Urgam valley of the Himalayan mountain range near Urgam village. Access to Kalpeshwar by road up to Urgam is from Rishikesh, a distance of 253 km on Rishikesh – Badrinath road. The best time to visit the temple is from April to September
Madhyamaheshwar
This temple is located in the Mansoona village. The temple also has some nearby attractions for tourists, Kali temple is one amongst them. Moreover, a sight of peaks like; Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, and Neelkanth can be enjoyed from here.
Deoria Tal
It is a lake of about 3 Km from the villages of Mastura & Sari. It has heavy lush green surroundings with snow-covered mountains in the backdrop. At deoria tal one can experience the best of two worlds, the first being the real world and other one being the reflection of the beautiful surrounding on the lake.Deoria tal serves as the popular trekking destination in the region because of its ease of access & soothing scenic beauty. One can trek 4 Km from our Hotel Chopta Heavens to deoria tal, 1 Km is sari village from the hotel & 3 Km from Sari village to Deoria tal.
Dugalbitta
Dugalbitta or Duggalbitta is a small hamlet which is an halt for travelers coming to Chopta or visiting Char Dham. It is situated at an astonishing height of 2600 meters and recently turned itself into a perfect getaway for the travelers. This place is well known for the bird watching as it is a part if Kedarnath wild life sanctuary. You can witness difference species of birds like Himalayan Monal, Himalayan Griffon, Mountain Hawk eaglem Golden Eye, Scarlet Finch.
Chandrashila
Chandrashila that literally suggests the ‘Moon Rock’ is the summit of the Chandranath Parvat on which the Tungnath temple of Panch Kedar is situated. This spot serves as the good point for the panoramic himalaya view. Chandrashila trekking is most popular trekking among the enthusiastic trekkers. Hotel to Chandrashila trekking is 15Km. Sari Village
It is situated in Rudraprayag district in between mastura village & deoriatal. It is the base camp for a very beautiful lake Deorial Tal. Deoria Tal is only 2 kilometers trek from here. This road journey is very romenic and you come across very beautiful bhugyals (meadows). It takes only one to two hours from sari to Chopta by road
